Infant Baptism

Welcome!

The Christian Community and Pastoral Staff of St. Cyril welcome and congratulate you for your interest in the preparation of the Baptism of your child. 

As the first sacrament of Christian initiation, baptism provides a grace-filled entrance into Christian communion. It is the beginning of a life centered in    the love and service of Christ. Therefore, it's a privilege   and a responsibility to provide support and direction  during this preparation process.

Requirements/Process:

1. Families MUST live within the boundaries of the parish or be registered parishioners.

2. At least ONE parent must be Catholic.

3. The child’s parents or legal guardians must register in the office. ID must be provided to verify relationship. 
   *Refer to the calendar for registration dates and dates of celebrations (baptisms). 

4. Parents/Guardians must submit the following: 

   • The original birth certificate issued by the state.
     *NO copies or documents from the hospital will be accepted.*

   • If your child is adopted, please bring the Original birth certificate and the adoption papers. 

   • Completed registration forms (see Documents on the right).
     - Godparents must complete their own forms. 
     - Married persons should provide a copy of their marriage certificate from the Catholic Church. 

   • Registration fee of $40.00 for one child and $20.00 for each additional child. Please bring exact change or a check. Credit card also accepted. (Fees cover processing fees and materials). 

5. Parents and Godparents MUST ATTEND the class listed on the calendar, scheduled per the date of Baptism OR provide proof of attendance to previously taken classes.
